Will you or someone from your library be at the Public Library Association conference in Nashville, Tennessee later this month? Consider attending "Addressing Bias in Your Catalog," happening Friday February 28 at 11:30 am in Music City Center room 207. Along with co-presenters and public librarians Tiffany Wilson, Tammy Moorse, and Shana L. McDanold, Dewey Editor Violet Fox will be discussing how librarians can identify harmful bias in catalogs and evaluate potential solutions that are practical, sustainable, and scalable. The session will also explain how you can get involved in shaping classification on a global scale through proposals to change the Library of Congress Classification and Dewey.
