The heading of Table 1 -08 has been changed from "kinds of persons" to "Groups of people". I would like to see the retention of the other part of the heading "History and description with respect to". This language could appear in the heading or in the "Class here" note.
The term “history and description with respect to” goes a long way in telling the classifier how to use notation -08. Many works that would make use of Table 1 -08 are of a historical character, describing the history of a subject with respect to a group of people. The phrase “history and description with respect to” tells the classifier that he is in the right place.
The retention of the term “history and description with respect to” will help with another use of -08. In Ed 22, vol. 1, p. 208, we give the example of “Catholic teachings on socioeconomic problems 261.8088282". The related Manual note reads “Use subdivisions of T1–0882 in 200 to represent official or semiofficial positions of denominations...” But, for other works, works that are not of an official character, one would also use -088 with the meaning of “history and description with respect to” . For example, a title like “History of the Catholic Church teachings on social questions”. The retention of “history and description with respect to” will help the classifier know that he can use -08 for works of history emphasizing a group of people, and is not forced to use -09 (which would be much less specific in this case) whenever the history of a subject is treated.
Please consider retaining “history and description with respect to” in the heading or notes.

I think the difference between persons and people is that persons are a small singular group of people, and people are big group, like humabeings, are people, but firemen for example are persons.... well it is only my opinion.
