The 2007 "top ten examples of sustainable architecture and green design solutions that protect and enhance the environment" selected by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and its Committee on the Environment will be honored this week during the AIA convention. Scattered across the United States, from Hawaii to Massachusetts, the projects include a courthouse, school, library, office building, water purification facility, research center, interpretive center, and a single-family residence. The Top Ten Metrics View describes the ten measures by which the projects are judged (intent & innovation, community, site, bioclimatic design, light & air, water, energy, materials, long life, feedback) and gives easy access to information about each project with respect to each measure.
Comprehensive works about these green projects would be classed in 720.470973 Architecture and the environment in the United States (720.47 Architecture and the environment plus T1--09 Geographic treatment plus T2--73 United States). The Library of Congress Subject Heading "Sustainable architecture" has been editorially mapped to 720.47.
