The results are in! Yes, 100% of my family members under the age of one agree that orange-colored food is best. Oh, and as for that other survey we did of libraries' use of the five options that are listed under 290 Other religions ... ? Well, we have the results of that one too, and, as promised during the EPC meeting the other week, here's a link to our report. The highlights: We received a total of 56 responses, and those respondents who provided contact information represent 13 countries. Of the 56, only nine reported use of any one of the five options, and nobody reported use of options D or E. The full results were discussed at the meeting of EPC, and the consensus was that, over the next year or so, we should explore the idea of developing a single optional arrangement with religions arranged in a chronological/regional sequence (similar to the reorganization of Class 2 Religion recently undertaken in the Universal Decimal Classification). One further suggestion was that we also consider the idea that, at some future time, this proposed optional arrangement could become the basis of a new framework for 200 Religion. As ever, we're looking forward to hearing your views, so ... Letsby Avenue!
